POP WARNER CHEERLEADING
About the Program
HRPW is a sideline cheerleading program and therefore all cheerleading squads will cheer on their assigned football team (10U or 12U) during all regular and post-season games. Cheerleaders are assigned to squads based on grade, age, and experience, at the sole discretion of HRPW. All athletes will be assessed and trained in sideline cheering, dance and stunting. We accept athletes ages 5-14. No tryouts are required!
Our 2024 season will open soon. Registration fees include items you keep:
- Uniform (top, skirt, and bloomers)
- Bows (game day and awareness months)
- Game day socks
Parents will need to purchase white cheer shoes.
Practices
Practice begins on August 1st from Monday to Wednesday for 1.5 hours - location and time TBD. Cheerleaders are responsible for bringing a large thermos of water and sunscreen (to be applied before practice).
Practices are not optional.
Season
Cheerleaders will only cheer at home games. The regular season runs from August 1 through late October, with games typically held on Saturdays beginning at the end of August. The game schedule will be available in late July, before the start of the regular season.
Each family will receive a Parent/Cheerleader packet at the first practice, which will contain more detailed information and expectations for 2024 season. Please continue to check the website for more updates as well.
